Brent D. Slife
Brent D. Slife is a -clinical psychologist and BYU professor of psychology. He is the Richard L. Evans Chair of Religious Under-standing and the editor in chief of the Journal of Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology as well as the editor of the Routledge book series Advances in Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology.
Awards for his scholarship and teaching include the Presi-dential Citation from the American Psycho–logical Association, the Eliza R. Snow Award, the Karl G. Maeser Award for Research, the Circle of Honor Award from the Student Honor Association, Teacher of the Year from the university, and Most Outstanding Professor from the psychology -student honor society Psi Chi.
Dr. Slife has authored or coauthored more than 220 articles and 10 books. As a fellow of several professional organizations, including the American Psycho-logical Association, he has served as the president of the Society of Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology, on the Council of the American Psychological Association, and on the editorial boards of eight journals.
Dr. Slife also continues his -psychotherapy practice of more than 35 years, specializing in -marital and family therapies.
